About Us
Media-Education Solutions (MEDUSA) is the research-cum-programming arm of the Media and Society section of the School of Film and Media Studies, a faculty in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Established in 2008, MEDUSA was formed to promote media literacy amongst youths, as well as to provide them with media training to familiarise them with the media industry.
To advance media literacy, we organise workshops and seminars that are conducted by qualified trainers. The programmes are constantly updated to ensure relevance in the changing media industry. Our workshop sessions and seminars are tailor-made, depending on your institution's needs.
MEDUSA serves as a consultancy for research projects that place a special focus on subjects related to media or youths. Clients approach us with a goal in mind and we formulate, design and carry out the entire research project to help them obtain more insights into the given area.
By conducting research into subjects relating to youths and the media, we provoke people to think about these areas. Through events such as the Singapore Youth and Media Conference, we involve youths and encourage them to think on issues that pertain to them.
We also help youths gain a better understanding of how the media works, thereby increasing media literacy, while equipping them with valuable technical skills in the field.
